To answer your question… I have good news for you because as of right now, there are exactly two seasons of White Cat Legend officially out! If you’ve actually only seen the first so far, I definitely recommend it, especially if you’re already a fan…!

Their animation game in the second season honestly gets pretty insane…

They’re so well-animated,,, and the music too,,,, the OP is even sung by famed singer Zhou Shen. His voice is insane and it’s always really amazing to see him sing for a donghua!

So now if your question has moved on from “is there a second season?” to “is there a third?” I still have more good news…

Nice Boat Animation is already hard at work on the third season. They attended an animation conference earlier this year to announce it. ^^

We don’t have much else besides this teaser yet, but yeah, we’ll be getting that third season eventually! And in the meantime there’s also the manhua…

And Nice Boat has a few other projects that are really cool too, which you can find info on here in this donghua/manhua recommendations list I try to keep updated. ^^

The Thoughts

....Okay, my beloved person has been bombarding me with very positive and detailed reactions to Chinese fantasy animated series “Da Li Si Rizhi”. And since my neighbors are doing renovations, they sometimes need to use electric tools. They were apparently drilling rows of holes in a wall without switching the drill off (and it went “WeeeowWeeeowWeeow” with no pauses), and since I was half-asleep, I suddenly saw a dream with very classic, very feudal, very high-ranked and long-bearded Chinese imperial official in ornamental and rich coat standing in the middle of a dark night-time battlefield, waving his hands around, and shouting “WZHIAO!~ WZHIAO!~ WZHIAO!~ WZHIAO!” and then monotone female translator voice saying “Launch the Dragon Bowl of Might of the Young Prince!” (which in the context, as it is usually known to the dreamer, was some sort of super-powerful black powder based weapon most probably also with some iron bits, bamboo sticks, and maybe a couple magnets).

I have not seen a single frame of that animated series yet.

História

I’m loving the episode 11 of White Cat Legend! It’s foreshadowing that something big will happen on the queen’s birthday! Also, General Qiu is the star of this episode. 

The queen is finally introduced! For a 68 years old, she seems childish throwing a tantrum as her maidservants quivered in fear from her presence. She hinted that she’s furious to her general’s action to the point that she’s thinking of disposing him. 

Another new character from the opening is introduced. Is he the queen’s advisor? He indirectly told the general that the queen is not happy with his failure. Also, I don’t know why his armor has blood in it? Where did he get it?

He later on escorted him to the queen. Queen was happy with his return. General Qiu swear that he’ll do his best to secure the capital during her majesty’s birthday.  Then queen and this guy has this suspicious conversation about something that I can’t grasp. I hope General Qiu is safe. 

There’s another ship introduced! General Qiu x General Lang

Qiu also meet up with Li Bing(protag) and mentioned that protag’s brother is a dear friend of his that’s why he helped him. I wonder how on earth his brother died tho?

Lastly, we have an encounter between General Qiu and the thief from last episode. It looks like he ordered him to steal the thing in episode 10 but protag’s gang kinda stop him and he ended up being stabbed in the head. I don’t know how on earth he still manage to be alive after that? Is he a monster? Immortal? 

So basically what’s happening is Queen VS protag’s investigation team aka Dali court. Queen is probably hiding something and the main charas kinda close to unfold whatever it is? I really like the plot so far. So please give it a chance and check it out!
